London Irish Vintage Club, 2016 Vintage Day
The fourth London Irish Vintage Car Show held on Sunday 31st August 2014. And we were there! I will share all the lovely photos with you. I should say I am quite surprised at how crowded it was. I didn’t know it is a huge event.
The Rally started at the Old Galtymore in Cricklewood Broadway and went to Tir Chonaill Gaels GFC playing fields in Greenford.
The Family Day down in Greenford started at 13:00 noon, and we were there around 14:00 and waited 25 minutes for parking. The weather was in our favour, and it was sunny and hot. We were surrounded by vintage cars, lorries and tractors. There was a playing ground for kids, craft stands, exhibitions, lovely food and beer. Most importantly, there was a HUGE screen for football lovers. They didn’t miss anything. An MK5 Cortina and a 1992 Mini Cooper was ruffle price, and they were auctioned for charity. Mini Cooper is sold for £5200, and it was exciting when the car owner started bidding himself.
London Rose!, @Emma Murphy-O’Connor,
We listened to Irish folk music from Seamus Moore!
Photos are from Tiny and Nigel.
Martin Barrett riding his vintage bicycle. Kids asked if it is easy to ride this vintage bike. Obviously, he made it look effortless but admitted it is very hard, in fact.
Kids were crazy about the vintage horse cart experience.
London Irish Vintage Club, Bill’s raffle tickets. We still don’t know if he won anything.
They were thrilled that Nigel printed this banner last minute, after 16:30 Friday.
I told you the screen was huge! London Irish Motor club Vintage Day.
Nigel of EU Signs Ltd. is all over the field with his camera, taking photos. Can you believe he is not working?
London Irish Vintage Club thanked all the sponsors through their Facebook page.
I want to thank them for the opportunity to help charities and the wonderful family day out experience on behalf of all in EU Signs Ltd. I think this is one of the most important events in London after St Patrick’s day.
