London Irish Vintage Club Raise Over £100k For Charity
London Irish Vintage Club committee members with a cheque for £270,000 raised over the four London Irish Vintage Rally and Family Days held since 2011.
The London Irish Vintage Club held a cheque presentation evening at the Tir Chonaill Gaels clubhouse in Greenford last weekend, where over £100,000 was handed over to several charities.
A fantastic amount was raised at the London Irish Vintage Rally and Family Day, which took place at Tir Chonaill Gaels last August, an occasion that has become a highlight of London’s Irish calendar since it was inception in 2011.
Cheques were presented on the night to Console (£26,650), North London Hospice (26,201), London’s Air Ambulance (£16,990), Hillingdon Autistic Care and Support (£31,310), Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund (£1,250), Great Ormond Street Hospital (£1,000) and the Hospice of St Francis (£1,250). The evening also featured live music, a buffet, and plenty of craic.
In total, over £270,000 has been raised since the inaugural London Irish Vintage Rally and Family Day in 2011. The 2015 Vintage Day will occur on Sunday 6th September at Tir Chonaill Gaels in Greenford, an occasion not to be missed.
